Djibouti signed a bilateral environmental cooperation agreement with Egypt to strengthen research and capacity in coastal erosion and marine resilience.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Hon. Yacqwub Mohamed Siyaad highlighted shared vulnerabilities across the Red Sea coastline.
“Our partnership is grounded in science, solidarity, and shared seas,” he noted. “Together, we can protect the lifelines that connect our nations.”
The agreement includes joint research projects between the Djibouti Institute of Marine Sciences and the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA).
