The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has launched Djibouti’s National Climate Education Framework, a blueprint to integrate environmental awareness and sustainability into national education curricula.

The event, presided over by Hon. Yacqwub Mohamed Siyaad, Deputy Minister of Environment and Climate Change, gathered educators, environmentalists, and development partners to design practical solutions for climate literacy in schools.

”Education is our most powerful climate tool,” stated Hon. Yacqwub. “We must prepare a generation that not only understands the climate crisis but is equipped to solve it.”

The framework introduces environmental clubs in 100 secondary schools and new training programs for teachers with support from UNESCO and the Global Partnership for Education.
