Mogadishu, Somalia – The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Djibouti, H.E. Nasa Ige, held a high-level meeting with the Prime Minister of Somalia, H.E. Xamsa Cabdi Barre, in Mogadishu today.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the areas of youth empowerment, sports development, education initiatives, and programs aimed at fostering regional peace and stability.
Minister Nasa Ige commended Somalia’s ongoing efforts to engage youth in meaningful social and economic activities, emphasizing Djibouti’s support for joint projects and knowledge exchange between the two countries. Prime Minister Xamsa Barre expressed appreciation for the strengthened partnership and highlighted opportunities for collaborative sports programs, training, and cultural exchange.
The visit underlines the commitment of Djibouti and Somalia to deepening diplomatic and social ties, while promoting youth-led development and regional cooperation.
