The DRESS-EA project, in collaboration with the National Meteorology Agency of Djibouti, recently hosted a workshop to discuss the climate outlook for October, November, and December 2025. The event took place at the former Ministry of Agriculture premises and gathered a wide range of participants, including experts, researchers, public officials, civil society representatives, and Hon. Malabo Daud Hussein, State Minister of Youth and Sports of Djibouti.
Key Objectives:
Analyze seasonal climate forecasts to anticipate potential impacts on critical sectors.
Strengthen the planning and response capacities of stakeholders to better manage climate risks.
Organizers emphasized that Djibouti, like other countries in the region, is expected to experience below-average rainfall during the upcoming months.
This workshop reflects Djibouti’s ongoing efforts to integrate climate data into national planning, promoting a collaborative, multi-sectoral approach to climate risk management.
